Thinking of undertaking a River Restoration Project?

Identifying, Planning and Undertaking River Restoration Projects - Sharing Good Practice (SGP) workshop on 23rd & 24th Sept '14, in the upper River South Esk area, in Angus, Scotland.

This two day practical workshop will help participants assess suitable locations for river restoration projects, provide advice on planning and undertaking projects and give technical information needed to ensure that a project is appropriate for its setting and is sustainable. Funding sources will be identified.

The workshop will be delivered through a series of presentations and workshop sessions. Fieldwork and on site discussion will take place that demonstrates ongoing Pearls in Peril restoration work, starting at a site where restoration is planned and then seeing a fully restored site (Rottal).

This SGP workshop is being delivered jointly by Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Esk Rivers & Fisheries Trust, the River Restoration Centre (RRC) and Pearls in Peril (PIP) LIFE.
